frequently asked questions

Do I need prior yoga experience to take class at Luna Power Yoga?

No prior yoga experience necessary! All classes are geared towards an all-levels mindset, unless otherwise noted; However, if you are a true beginner, we offer slower paced options: Rise + Restore that may be a good stepping stone for you! If not, feel free to connect with your teacher before any class, should you feel the need, so that way they can offer you some additional direction/support.

WHAT IS POWER/VINYASA YOGA?

Power/Vinyasa yoga is a dynamic style of yoga; a quicker paced class than some of the more traditional, meditative style yoga classes — yet, very much so focused on mindfulness and syncing breath to movement. At Luna Power Yoga, we like to incorporate the best of both worlds. You can expect to move, sweat, and breathe, as you build strength and endurance through your practice, while also building heat from within and honoring those moments of stillness and serenity, as you strengthen the mind-body-spirit connection.

What should I bring to class?

Your mat, a water bottle, and anything else you’d typically bring to any yoga/exercise class. Perhaps a small towel in case you get sweaty! We have a water cooler in studio in case you forget yours.

Do you have mats and props?

Yes! We rent antimicrobial, reversible, rubber lululemon mats for class for $2.

Is the studio heated?

Nope — the only heat in the studio is the heat we build from our flows!

What happens if I’m late to class?

Because our front door enters straight into the studio space, we have a strict policy that doors lock at the start of class time. This is in effect to respect everyone’s time, safety, and experience in class. If you are running behind and will arrive within the first 5 minutes of class time, please contact us at 845-276-4619 to notify us and we will monitor the door for you. Past that, we cannot honor entry.

ARE YOU OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK?

Yes! Come join us. There’s something for everyone.
