Owner of LPY
Cate is the proud owner and teacher of Luna Power Yoga! She was first introduced to yoga back in college, practiced throughout graduate school and flowed her way into her career as a high school counselor, where she worked full time for just about 6 years. She earned her RYT 200 hour cert. when she was living in Hoboken, NJ, through Yoga in the World under Anayra Calderon, and has many great memories teaching and building connections in some of her favorite hot power studios there.
In December 2020, Cate made the decision to close the chapter of her counseling career to fulfill other dreams and start a new chapter in her life in upstate NY – back home. She is always searching for the beauty around her, in nature, and in those she encounters along her journey in life. One of her favorite mantras is, “let the journey unfold, let it be magical” by Melody Beattie.
Cate is thrilled to have this opportunity in curating this *small* but *mighty* space where all members from the community can come together to move, sweat, and breathe.

Michelle is a RYT-200 with certification in hot vinyasa with Baptiste influence. She was born and raised in the Westchester/Putnam area. She believes in the healing powers of yoga, and has watched herself and others transform from the practice. Michelle believes yoga is not only about Asanas, but the connection between mind, body, and soul.

Laura was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia and completed her 200 hour RYT certification at Yoga Studio Colombia. She is also a meditation teacher at the School of Holistic Women and a psychologist. She has earned her Masters Degree in Public Health and is currently training as a Health Coach at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN) in NY. Laura views each human being as a whole; therefore, in her practices she likes to incorporate conscious movements aligned with the breath — this provides her students with the opportunity to connect the mind and the heart each step along the way. Likewise, in her classes she develops breathing techniques that seek to calm thoughts and allow deeper and more real connections with the soul. Laura likes to practice and share mindful vinyasa yoga — it’s the perfect way to start or end the day. Any Spanish speakers are welcome too!

Brittany is a certified RYT-200 with a background in Ashtanga style vinyasa. She enjoys blending the power and strength of Ashtanga with a softer ending for a balanced practice. Brittany is a high school math teacher who fell in love with yoga while working to heal aches and pains from running. She then combined her new love of yoga and teaching and completed her yoga teacher training in 2019 at LifePower Yoga in West Harrison, NY. Throughout her yoga teaching career, she has taught yoga to children, teenagers, and adults. Brittany believes that there is a yoga practice for everyone. Yoga helps us find our breath, find our strength, and calm our minds.

Stephanie started practicing yoga in 2010 when her life shifted dramatically. After moving to the Hudson Valley from Brooklyn, she decided that a studio would be the perfect place to find a new community. In 2013, she completed her 200 Hour Teacher Training through Tadasana Yoga Studio under the guidance of her mentor and dear friend, Roberta McGinley. She’s been teaching yoga all over the Hudson Valley since then; most recently finishing up an 8-year stint with Alma Yoga, Newburgh. Stephanie is a New York State certified high school teacher, and she had the privilege of teaching Social Studies at Rye High School for 13 years. In 2017, she made the decision to uproot her life again and go to law school. Today she is a member of the New York State Bar and a proud public defender in Dutchess County. Throughout all of these changes, teaching and practicing yoga kept her grounded and emotionally and spiritually fulfilled. Now living in Carmel, NY with her fiancé, she had the good fortune to make her way to Luna Power Yoga. Once again, she found a community to be a part of and she could not be happier. Her classes feature creative flows and curated playlists. Stephanie loves animals, music, coffee, wine, baseball, crafting and thrifting.

Beatrice has been practicing several forms of yoga since her early 20s, including prenatal
throughout her pregnancies. She believes that her dedication to yoga was instrumental in the
natural delivery of all three of her children. The inner-peace, calmness and spirituality she
experienced during her pregnancies inspired her to continue yoga as a mother. In 2013 she was
introduced to Power Yoga in an effort to build strength and relieve the pain in her back and
shoulders caused by residual injuries. Over the years working with many passionate yoga
instructors, Beatrice has been able to pull from those experiences to create her own unique style
and share her love of yoga and its ability to unify the mind, body and soul.
Beatrice received her 200 hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Training Certification from Yoga With
Wendy Boscia in 2019, who’s training methodology emphasized the alignment of Eastern and
Western Yoga philosophy. In addition to advanced Asana training, this Baron Baptiste Power
based yoga training offered a depth of anatomy and philosophical education. In September of
2023 she completed a rigorous 300 hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Training with renowned yoga
teacher and author Rolf Gates.
She has numerous hours of experience teaching various styles of yoga including Vinyasa and
Restorative among all age groups at various locations. She has been dedicating much of her time
teaching young children the practice of Mindfulness through Yoga and Meditation through the
proprietary children’s program she created as part of her capstone project while studying with
Rolf Gates.
With a degree in civil engineering, Beatrice is the joint owner of a family owned real estate
development company and a mother of 3 girls. In addition to yoga, Beatrice loves to read, hike,
travel and spend time with her family and friends. Beatrice looks forward to helping others find
balance in their lives through the practice of yoga. She strongly believes that Yoga is more than
just a series of poses but a connection of the mind, body and spirit. She has designed her classes
to build strength physically, mentally and spiritually while increasing flexibility.

A Midwest native, Robert’s exploration of yoga began during his college years in Indianapolis, where an unlikely blend of influences sparked his interest in the practice. After decades in the visual arts, he felt a desire for a more balanced life, leading him to seek an exchange – trading the isolation and stress of the art studio for the practices of connection and well-being found in the yoga studio.
As a 500hr Kripalu Certified Yoga teacher, Robert is passionate about guiding students towards the cultivation of meditative experiences through mindful movement, breathwork, and self-observation without judgment. His classes prioritize creating a safe and supportive foundation for exploration, encouraging self-discovery, and empowering students on their unique paths.
